CoffeeGearGuides is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program (Amazon.com) and in the Amazon Associates Program operated by Amazon Seller Services Private Limited (Amazon.in). These are two separate affiliate advertising programs, governed by independent operating agreements, that let sites earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.

When you click an Amazon link on this site and complete a qualifying purchase, Amazon may pay us a small referral commission. It is paid by Amazon, and it never increases the price you pay. You pay exactly the same whether you use our link or go to Amazon directly.

The commission is a thank-you from the retailer for sending a customer, and it comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket. We mark links to Amazon for search engines with the sponsored attribute, and our buttons read "Check price on Amazon", so you always know where a click leads.

In line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255, "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising", we disclose that we have a material connection to many of the products we review or recommend. That connection is usually an affiliate relationship with Amazon, and may from time to time include other retailers or networks.

We never accept payment in exchange for a positive review. Our verdicts, research notes, and recommendations are our own.

In line with the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) Guidelines for Influencer Advertising in Digital Media and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, we clearly disclose our material connection with Amazon and any other affiliate partners.

Product listings on this site are not endorsed or sponsored by their manufacturers. Prices, taxes, GST, shipping, and warranty are set by Amazon.in and the respective sellers at the point of purchase.

Alongside affiliate links, we accept paid placements from coffee brands, roasters, equipment makers, and cafes. Every one is published as a sponsored post.

Labelling is built into the site rather than left to whoever writes the post. A sponsored post carries a disclosure panel above its content naming the sponsor, is marked Sponsored in its byline and on every card and search result that links to it, and its outbound links carry the rel="sponsored" attribute, as Google’s link policies and the FTC Endorsement Guides require. None of that can be switched off for an individual campaign.

A sponsored post is a standalone article, published separately from our reviews. It is not one of our editorial picks and is never counted as one inside a ranking. Buying one does not raise a rating, soften a criticism, or change any verdict elsewhere on this site. Affiliate links are reserved for our own editorial and are never placed inside sponsored posts. We do sell advertising, and we are specific about what it does and does not buy. Money never changes any of the following:

• Our editorial picks. Which products and businesses we choose on merit is decided by research, before any commercial conversation.
• The order of our editorial rankings. A commission or a placement fee has never moved an editorial pick up a list.
• What we say about anyone, including advertisers. The “Watch out for” sections stay exactly as our research found them. Nobody can pay to soften a criticism, raise a rating, or have a flaw removed.
• Whether a placement is labelled. Every paid item on this site is marked, automatically, and it cannot be switched off for a campaign.

What advertising can buy is a clearly labelled place on the page: a sponsored post, or a marked sponsored entry inside one of our guides. Those are advertising, they are presented as advertising, and they sit alongside our editorial picks rather than replacing or reordering them.

Some of our guides, including our cafe city guides and our product roundups, can contain paid entries. A business pays to appear, and we publish it as advertising.

You will never have to work out which is which. Every paid entry carries the word Sponsored at the top of its own entry and again in the summary list at the top of the guide, states in its own words that the business paid to be included, and links out with the rel="sponsored" attribute. Any guide containing one also carries a notice above the list saying so.

A paid entry is not ranked by the criteria in that guide, and the guide says so in its methodology. Paying gets a business onto the page. It does not earn it a position that was meant to signal merit, it does not move any editorial pick, and it does not change a word of what we write about anyone.

Everything else in a guide is chosen by us on the research described in that guide, and is unpaid. We also do not accept free drinks, hospitality, or gifted product in exchange for coverage, placement, or a kinder write-up.

We do not publish unpaid guest posts, contributed articles, or link exchanges. There is no free route onto this site, and we decline these unread.

Every article here is either written by us or a paid, clearly labelled sponsored post. That means there is no third category of content whose motive is ambiguous: it is our own editorial, or it is marked as advertising.

Prices shown on this site are what we saw when the page was last updated, or, where an "as of" date appears, what the Amazon API returned at that time. Amazon prices change often, so the price and availability shown on Amazon at the moment of purchase is the one that applies.
